Leveraging Virtual Assistants for your Airbnb Business

As we enter the new year, I get asked a lot about how virtual assistants can help in our industry and I wanted to shed some light on this topic. Here are some of the top things I see done:

1. Bookkeeping: Creating owner statements, categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating your standard cashflow & P&L statements.

2. Answering Calls and Chats: First impressions and how quick you answer are important. VAs take care of calls and messages, help schedule things, and make sure everyone’s questions are answered.

3. Reporting: Want a monthly or weekly rundown of your financial health. VAs can prepare regular reports so you can see how your business is doing at a glance. This helps in making informed decisions about your property.

4.Removing bad reviews & dealing with Support: Handling Airbnb support (or any OTA) takes a lot of time and persistence. The best strategies I have seen are just being persistent. If they deny your request, you can call back and you’ll speak with somebody else who can get your request through.

5. Maintenance and Vendor Coordination: Agents act as liaisons between contractors, maintenance teams, and the property, streamlining repair coordination. They coordinate their schedules, can get them in and out of the homes, and can help you get new vendor quotes.

Anyways, there’s a lot more that a virtual assistant team can do.

I recommend you give it a shot if you have been on the fence. A lot of our personal and business goals in life are postponed because we do not have the time or money. Virtual Assistants are a way to help you scale without breaking the bank. It certainly has changed my life. I’ve been doing this for years. Happy to chat if you need advice. Happy new year! Best of luck in 2024.
